The world was stunned back in July when Donald Trump was shot in the ear during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. This was the first assassination attempt on a current or former president in over forty years.
This came after nearly a decade of Democrats using deranged rhetoric to describe Trump. Indeed, during the last election cycle, many prominent Democrats frequently compared Trump to the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
Many would argue that this rhetoric is what led to this attempt on Trump’s life. It seems that one of the people who would say this is his wife, Melania Trump.
In a recent interview, Melania revealed that First Lady Jill Biden reached out to her after the assassination attempt. However, Melania was not convinced that Jill’s heart was in the right place.

[Melania] Trump, in an interview with French publication “Paris Match” last month, said that Biden “took the initiative to contact me directly” after “someone tried to murder my husband in Pennsylvania” during his rally on July 13.“I do question, however, whether Jill’s concern was genuine as a few days prior she referred to my husband as ‘evil’ and a ‘liar,’” Trump said. “It was obvious that the onslaught of rhetoric from Democrat leaders and the mainstream media was so deeply embedded in our nation’s consciousness it prompted an attempt to assassinate Donald.”
Nice try, Jill, but it seems that Melania sees right through you!
Jill and her fellow Democrats have said such vile things about Trump that their concerns in the wake of his assassination attempt certainly were hard to buy. Leftists constantly whine about Trump’s rhetoric. However, it’s their own hateful words about Trump that arguably led to him nearly being murdered.
Melania Doubles Down
In this same interview, which was conducted before Trump won the election, Melania said that she was “relieved to learn my husband was safe, it was evident that the forces behind this wicked behavior won’t come to an end.”
“Simply put, they want Donald out. They won’t stop. Has the concept of ‘respect’ become antiquated? Can opposing sides prioritize decency, come together, and coexist?” she asked. “Doubtful, as the Democrat political engine peddles harsh words, vile names, and labels our nation’s 45th President ‘a threat to democracy.’”
Melania also expressed her disgust with how some liberals responded to Trump nearly being killed.
“People today are so desensitized they actually joke about killing a former U.S. President,” she lamented. “It is undeniable that this type of speech created a toxic political environment.”
Last week, Trump returned to the White House to meet with President Joe Biden. Melania noticeably didn’t join him, as she declined Jill’s offer to have tea together.
“Her husband’s return to the Oval Office to commence the transition process is encouraging, and she wishes him great success,” Melania’s spokesperson said in a statement.
The White House responded by saying that Jill “gave Mr. Trump a handwritten letter of congratulations for Mrs. Trump, which also expressed her team’s readiness to assist with the transition.”
Clearly, there is no love lost between Melania and Jill. After all of the despicable things that Jill has said about her husband, we certainly can’t blame Melania for wanting nothing to do with her!
