GOP Rep Takes a Stand for Women, Moves to Stop Transgender Rep from Using Female Congressional Bathrooms

Democrats have long claimed to be the party that defends women. Indeed, they portray themselves as a feminist party that will always prioritize the rights of women.

However, all of that goes out the window when it comes to transgender women. In those cases, Democrats tend to go woke by siding with biological men who are hellbent on invading female spaces.

Transgender men using women’s bathrooms has become a hot-button issue over the past few years. Sadly, women everywhere can no longer feel safe using a public bathroom without a biological man being in the room.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is trying to change all that. On Monday, she introduced a resolution to ban transgender women from using female bathrooms in Congress.

This comes as Congress is preparing to welcome its first transgender lawmaker on January 3, when Rep.-elect Sarah McBride (D-DE) is sworn in. Mace is hoping to attach her resolution to the new House rules package. This package will be voted on by the Republican-majority House early next year.

From The Washington Examiner:
“The sanctity of protecting women and standing up against the Left’s systematic erasure of biological women starts here in the nation’s Capitol,” Mace said in a statement to Fox News, which first reported on the legislation.

McBride called Mace’s effort a distraction.

“This is a blatant attempt from far right-wing extremists to distract from the fact that they have no real solutions to what Americans are facing,” McBride told the Washington Examiner. “We should be focused on bringing down the cost of housing, healthcare, and child care, not manufacturing culture wars. Delawareans sent me here to make the American dream more affordable and accessible, and that’s what I’m focused on.”

Mace’s Rule

Mace’s rule would ban transgender women from using bathrooms in both the Capitol and House office buildings. She explained that she came up with this resolution over fears that “allowing biological males into single-sex facilities,” like female bathrooms and changing rooms, “jeopardizes the safety and dignity of Members, officers, and employees of the House who are female.”

Meanwhile, Mace’s resolution calls for the House sergeant at arms to enforce the rule, should it go into effect.

Transgender issues were something that Republicans hammered Democrats with throughout the last election cycle. Democrats responded by continuing to go woke, with many of them refusing to speak out against biological men both using female bathrooms and competing in women’s sports.

Unfortunately for Democrats, it’s become clear that this was a huge mistake. Indeed, Democrats lost the presidency, the Senate, and the House to Republicans. This can only be described as a referendum on Democratic Party and their ridiculously woke policies, with transgenderism being at the forefront of that.

The American people have spoken, and we have had enough. Biological women deserve to have their own spaces where they can feel safe without having to worry about a biological man being in their presence.

We can only hope that the Republican-majority House votes in favor of Mace’s rule and that it goes into effect as soon as possible.
