Kamala Has Been Vacationing Since Her Election Loss To Trump

It’s been a rough November for Kamala Harris. Heading into Election Day, Harris thought that there was no way that she could lose to Donald Trump.

Unfortunately for her and her fellow Democrats, however, this is exactly what happened. Harris was trounced not only by Trump in the Electoral College but also in the popular vote.

In the weeks since then, Harris has been laying low. Now, it’s been revealed that she’s actually been on vacation in Hawaii with her husband Doug Emhoff.

From Fox News:
Harris arrived in Kalaoa, Hawaii, on Tuesday for what is expected to be a weeklong trip, a break from the rigorous campaign schedule she kept over the last couple of months but also from her duties as vice president, where she retains her tie-breaking vote as president of the Senate during the last few months of President Biden’s administration.

The timing of the vice president’s trip has generated questions, with some noting that many DNC staffers are uncertain about their futures while others had been surprised by sudden layoffs. Harris is still expected to play a critical role in helping Biden push through several judges as Democrats race against the clock to top the 234 that were confirmed during Trump’s first term, according to an NBC News report last week.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has defended Harris for going on vacation. Last Thursday, Jean-Pierre said that there is nothing “wrong” with Vice President Harris jetting off to Hawaii.

“The vice president has taken time off to go spend time with her family,” Jean-Pierre said. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I think she deserves some time to be with her family and to have some downtime. She has worked very hard over – for the last four years, and her taking a couple of days to be with her family, good for her. Good for her.”

Senior Aides Speak Out

A senior aide spoke out to say that Harris “will definitely be available for any tie votes.”

“It is a big focus,” another source stated.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said last week that she was given notice that Harris would be available. However, she made sure to add that she has not talked to Harris personally.

“The goal is to fill every judicial nomination that we can,” Warren continued.

One of Harris’ other senior aides revealed that the vice president had already delayed her trip in case she was needed in the Senate. However, many of these votes have since been set for December, when Harris is scheduled to be back in Washington.

It’s clear that Harris is completely humiliated right now. Indeed, losing to Trump in both the Electoral College and the popular vote is something that she and her fellow smug Democrats never saw coming. Harris abandoning her own party in the wake of this loss to jet off on a ritzy vacation says it all about who she is as a person. Perhaps Democrats are now finally regretting ever putting any faith in her.

Harris can, quite frankly, stay in Hawaii as long as she wants to. The American people have spoken, and we’ve made it clear that we’ve had enough of her. Here’s hoping that this is only the beginning of Harris being far away from the spotlight!
