Hours After Hunter Biden Pardon, Joe Gets Shut Down by Democrat Governor

President Joe Biden officially pardoned his disgraced son Hunter over his gun and tax charges on Sunday night. Joe did this despite saying multiple times that he would not pardon Hunter.

Indeed, Joe had most recently said in June that pardoning his son was not something that he would even consider. Despite this, that’s exactly what he did last night.

Unfortunately for Joe, however, this move is already blowing up in his face. Colorado’s Democrat Governor Jared Polis has fired back at the president on social media, accusing him of putting “his family ahead of the country.”

From X:
While as a father I certainly understand President @JoeBiden’s natural desire to help his son by pardoning him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country. This is a bad precedent that could be abused by later Presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation.

When you become President, your role is Pater familias of the nation. Hunter brought the legal trouble he faced on himself, and one can sympathize with his struggles while also acknowledging that no one is above the law, not a President and not a President’s son.

Joe Pardons Hunter

Joe’s pardon for Hunter applies to offenses against the U.S. that he “has committed or may have committed” from January 1, 2014 to December 1, 2024.

“Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter,” Joe said. “From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted.”

Joe went on to claim that Hunter was “treated differently” by prosecutors.

“Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form,” the outgoing president claimed.

“Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions,” Joe added. “It is clear that Hunter was treated differently.”

Joe had most recently denied that he would pardon Hunter back in June.

“I abide by the jury decision. I will do that and I will not pardon him,” Joe said at the time as Hunter was facing trial in the Delaware gun case.

Karine Jean-Pierre’s Lies

Joe’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, had denied that the president would target Hunter six times since July of 2023. Her most recent denial came last month, right after Donald Trump won the election.

“We’ve been asked that question multiple times,” Jean-Pierre said at the time. “Our answer stands, which is no.”

After taking office, Joe repeatedly pledged to restore norms and respect for the rule in this country. Instead, Joe used his position to help his criminal son.

It doesn’t get much more hypocritical than that, folks!

This just confirms what millions of conservatives knew about Joe all along. Democrats spent years trying to portray Joe as an honest, grandfatherly figure.

Instead, he’s just a slimy career politician who could never be trusted. We’re glad that some Democrats like Governor Polis are finally realizing that.

The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze.
