Border Czar Requests DOJ Review of AOC’s Immigration Enforcement Webinar

America’s immigration enforcement machine is finally roaring back to life. Under President Donald Trump’s latest directive, federal agents have removed more than 6,000 illegal migrants from American soil in recent weeks – the largest deportation operation in U.S. history.

But not everyone believes in enforcing our nation’s laws.

Some progressive lawmakers are actively working to undermine these enforcement efforts. Their tactics have drawn fierce criticism from those who’ve dedicated their lives to protecting our borders.

In a stunning development, President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan has requested the Department of Justice examine whether a sitting congresswoman’s actions constitute criminal interference with federal law enforcement operations.

The Progressive Push Against Enforcement

At issue is Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s recent “webinar” specifically designed to teach illegal immigrants how to evade immigration enforcement. Indeed, the New York progressive has been releasing videos and resources instructing undocumented individuals on whether they must comply with federal deportation orders.

Let that sink in – a sitting member of Congress is actively teaching illegal aliens how to evade federal agents.

“When you sit down with people who are wanted by us – criminal aliens that have been ordered to be deported by the United States government and ignore that order – if you and I ignore that order we’d be sitting in prison,” Homan said.

Homan didn’t mince words about the implications.

“They ignored an order from a federal judge, they’re hiding in a home and she’s telling them not to open the door,” he added during an interview on State of the Union.

While some politicians grandstand from their social media pulpits, Homan has spent four decades in the trenches of immigration enforcement. Since 1984, he’s served as a Border Patrol agent, investigator, and supervisor. His expertise even earned him the position of ICE’s Executive Associate Director of Enforcement under President Barack Obama.

When AOC suggested Homan was only “vaguely familiar with U.S. immigration law,” his response was nothing short of devastating.

“I have done this since 1984. I forgot more about the immigration law than AOC will ever know,” Homan declared. “Matter of fact, in the hearing a few years ago I had to explain to her that entering the country illegally is actually a crime.”

Legal Questions at Stake

The core issue now centers on what legally constitutes “impeding” federal law enforcement. Homan has asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to clarify where that line exists – and it’s about time someone did.

“I’m not saying that’s illegal,” Homan carefully noted regarding AOC’s webinar. “What I’m saying is I asked the Attorney General at what point is it impeding and what point is it not impeding?”

The question carries serious implications. Federal law enforcement officials must navigate complex jurisdictional and constitutional questions while carrying out their duties. When elected officials actively work to obstruct those duties, it raises troubling questions about the rule of law.

The current deportation operations have already successfully removed thousands of individuals who ignored valid court orders. These aren’t arbitrary actions – they represent the enforcement of existing laws and judicial decisions.

As federal agents continue their lawful duties, they shouldn’t have to contend with elected officials teaching people how to evade them. The American people deserve better than politicians who undermine the very laws they swore to uphold.

Key Takeaways:

  • Former ICE Director Tom Homan, with 40 years of immigration enforcement experience, directly challenges AOC’s understanding of federal law.
  • Progressive lawmakers are actively teaching illegal immigrants how to evade legitimate deportation orders, raising serious legal questions.
  • Over 6,000 illegal migrants have been removed under Trump’s new enforcement operation despite progressive obstruction.
  • The DOJ is being asked to examine whether teaching evasion tactics constitutes criminal interference with federal law enforcement.
