The left loves to portray conservatives as deranged lunatics who are quick to be violent toward those who have opposing views. Of course, oftentimes, it’s the other way around, with liberals launching violent attacks on conservatives.
Unfortunately, the liberal media typically sweeps attacks on conservatives under the rug. That’s why you likely won’t be hearing much about this from the mainstream media.
On Monday night, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), a survivor of sexual assault, was allegedly attacked by an LGBTQ activist at the Capitol. Thankfully, a suspect has since been arrested.
From Breitbart News:
“I was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight by a pro-tr*ns man. One new brace for my wrist and some ice for my arm and it’ll heal just fine. The Capitol police arrested the guy. Your tr*ns violence and threats on my life will only make me double down. FAFO,” she said while imploring people to “Hold the Line.”U.S. Capitol Police confirmed the incident, noting they arrested a person accused of assaulting a lawmaker.
The Hill reports police did not specifically name Mace in their statement but said a member of Congress’s office reported an incident just before 6 p.m. inside the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill.
Police have confirmed that “House Division officers, and agents with the Threat Assessment Section, tracked down the suspect.”
Suspect Identified
The suspect has since been identified as James McIntyre, the 33-year-old co-founder of the Illinois chapter of Foster Care Alumni of America. The alleged assault occurred when the Rayburn Building was open to the public.
McIntyre had passed through a standard security screening in order to gain entry to the building. He was reportedly there to attend an event of the Foster Youth Caucus. Mace, a co-chair of the group, spoke at this event.
McIntyre reportedly approached Mace just before 6 pm, and some kind of assault allegedly occurred. Afterwards, McIntyre left the building, but was soon arrested by police.
McIntyre is now facing a charge of assaulting a government official. This could be a felony or a misdemeanor, depending on various factors, including the severity of the injuries. He was reportedly held overnight at the D.C. jail complex.
Trump Calls Mace Personally
Mace revealed on Wednesday morning that after the alleged assault, President-Elect Donald Trump called personally “to check up on me.”
“I’m going to be fine just as soon as the pain and soreness subside. January 20th can’t come soon enough,” she added. January 20 is the date that Trump is set to be inaugurated.
Mace recently presented legislation that would ban House members and staffers from “using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex.” This is a personal issue for Mace, given her history of sexual abuse.
“I’m a survivor of sexual abuse, I have PTSD from the abuse I’ve suffered at the hands of a man, and it’s so weird and dangerous and perverted, this idea that it’s OK for a naked man to be in a locker room with women, it’s insanity to me, and this has got to stop,” Mace said.
We can only pray that this latest incident wasn’t too traumatic for Mace. Here’s hoping officials throw the book at McIntyre for this!
