Democrats have spent the past week throwing endless temper tantrums over Donald Trump’s victory. Indeed, they can’t believe that Trump trounced their beloved Kamala Harris not only in the Electoral College, but also in the popular vote.
One of these Democrats is New York Attorney General Letitia James. She’s responded to Trump’s massive win by saying that she’ll be continuing with her case against him.
On Monday, Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) fired back by calling for James to be disbarred for what she’s done to Trump. Tenney went so far as to accuse James of trying to “take Trump out.”

“[Trump] could have done all kinds of things. He could have referred Hillary Clinton, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, all those people, [James] Comey, everybody, he did not do that. And who’s the one that didn’t make [the] enemies list and didn’t prosecute people who committed actual crimes?” Tenney told host Larry Kudlow, a former Trump administration official. “Instead of using all these people, these state operators like in Georgia, New York State, the… shameless, shameful, shameless Letitia James and all these people trying to take Trump out now.”“Those people, actually, Letitia James needs to be disbarred and removed from office for the kind of behavior we’re seeing out of her, and I’m a member of the New York bar and it’s just shameful,” Tenney continued.
Back in 2018, James campaigned for the attorney general position by pledging to “take on” Trump. At the time, she baselessly labeled him as an “illegitimate president.”
In September of 2022, James filed a lawsuit against Trump claiming that he overstated the value of real estate holdings in order to obtain loans.
James Responds To Trump’s Win
The day after Trump defeated Harris, James held a press conference addressing his victory.
“I congratulate the president-elect, Donald Trump,” James said. “And if possible, we will work with his administration. But we will not compromise our values or our integrity or our principles.”
James also stated that her office is “prepared to fight back” against any erosion of rights under Trump’s administration.
Many have felt that James has been part of the witch hunt against Trump that has been ongoing for years. The fact that Trump won even the popular vote so decisively shows that the majority of Americans have had enough of the left trying to take down Trump by any means necessary.
Democrats should see Trump’s victory as a referendum on everything that their party has done to him over much of the past decade. The people of New York deserve an attorney general who will actually make life better for them. After all, many would argue that crime is out of control in the liberal state, particularly in New York City.
James can continue with her witch hunt all that she wants to, but it isn’t going to stop Trump from being president. The American people have spoken, and we want him back in the White House where he belongs. Thankfully, that’s exactly where he’s going in two months!
