Much to the shock and horror of Democrats everywhere, Donald Trump will begin his second term come January. Despite the best efforts of the leftwing machine to destroy him, Trump still trounced Kamala Harris on Election Day.
As Trump prepares to take office once again, he’s in the process of putting his Cabinet together. On Sunday night, Trump announced one big name that he’s appointing to his Cabinet. The identity of the person makes it clear that Trump is not messing around this time!
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) has officially accepted Trump’s offer to be his enforcer in the United Nations. She previously made a name for herself by forcing out two Ivy League presidents with her sharp questioning on campus antisemitism. This makes the 40 year-old Republican the perfect person for this position.
From The New York Post:
“I am honored to nominate Chairwoman Elise Stefanik to serve in my Cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Elise is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter,” Trump, 78, said in a statement to The Post Sunday night.“I am truly honored to earn President Trump’s nomination to serve in his Cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations,” Stefanik said in a statement confirming her acceptance of the role.
“During my conversation with President Trump, I shared how deeply humbled I am to accept his nomination and that I look forward to earning the support of my colleagues in the United States Senate.”
Stefanik Doubles Down
Stefanik went on to make it clear that she will not be holding back in this role.
“President Trump’s historic landslide election has given hope to the American people and is a reminder that brighter days are ahead — both at home and abroad,” she said. “America continues to be the beacon of the world, but we expect and must demand that our friends and allies be strong partners in the peace we seek.”
Stefanik, who is the No. 4 House Republican, has been firmly in Trump’s corner for years. She famously served on Trump’s defense team during his first impeachment trial back in 2020. Stefanik has also been outspoken about trying to flip the script on what she has long described as the “Biden Crime Family.”
While the outgoing UN ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield has avoided media attention like the plague, Stefanik relishes going on television to speak out about the Republican viewpoint on various issues. This makes her the ideal person to be Trump’s UN “enforcer” in a time when the United Nations is facing more conservative criticism than ever.
Among other things, the UN has been slammed for allowing communist dictatorships like China and Cuba to serve as reps on the Human Rights Council. Meanwhile, the General Assembly frequently passes measures that are anti-Israel by lopsided margins.
In the end, appointing Stefanik to his Cabinet shows that Trump means business when it comes to his second term. We can’t wait to see what else he has in store for America for the next four years!
