Schumer Refuses to Let McCormick Attend Senate Orientation – Claims More PA Ballots Need To Be Counted

In the days since the 2024 election, Democrats have shown that they are as bitter as ever about the results. Indeed, not only did they lose the presidency, they also lost control of the Senate.

In the wake of these humiliating losses, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is showing how classless he really is with one partisan move. Schumer is reportedly not allowing Senator-elect Dave McCormick of Pennsylvania to attend Senate orientation this week.

Schumer is making this move even though McCormick is projected by the Associated Press to win the Pennsylvania Senate race.

“With over 100,000 ballots left to be counted in Pennsylvania, the race has not been decided,” a spokesperson for Schumer said in a statement. “As is custom, we will invite the winner once the votes are counted.”

Unfortunately for Schumer, however, this is already backfiring on him in a big way. Republicans are speaking out to slam Schumer for the move. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) has even offered to “personally escort” McCormick to the new-senator orientation.

From Fox News:
“I’m willing to personally escort @DaveMcCormickPA into the Capitol for new-senator orientation. I’d like to see how they’d keep him out if he literally walked into ‘the room where it happens’,” Lee wrote from his personal X account Sunday.

Lee said Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Missouri, “has indicated he’ll join the effort. I’d welcome other senators to join us!”

“I’ll be right there alongside you, Mike,” Sen. Katie Britt, R-Alabama, responded. “Dave McCormick is the Senator-elect for Pennsylvania. And deserves to be at orientation alongside every other member of his freshman class.”

Even A Democrat Is Admitting McCormick Won

Even a top Democrat got in on the action!

On Sunday, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) took to social media to admit that McCormick is the winner of the Pennsylvania senatorial race.

“While we are losing a good person and colleague in Senator Bob Casey, I believe the Senate will be gaining another good man in Senator-Elect David McCormick,” Manchin wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) also took to X to call out Democrats for their hypocrisy on this.

Schumer is not allowing @DaveMcCormickPA to participate in Senate orientation this week because Casey refuses to concede the race,” Rubio wrote. “What happened to all the demands that our leaders accept the outcome of the elections?”

The hypocrisy of Democrats never ceases to amaze. They’ve spent years telling us never to question election results when they’ve been coming out on top. Now that Republicans are coming out victorious, however, Schumer is digging his heals in and trying to delay the inevitable as long as he possibly can.

You really can’t make this stuff up!

Schumer can kick and scream all that he wants to, but it won’t give his party back control of the Senate. Indeed, this election was a referendum of the entire Democratic Party. The American people have shown that they’ve had enough of the left’s woke nonsense.

It’s time for Republicans to get back in control and fix the many messes that Democrats have made for America for years!
